Sometimes life will throw us a curve ball and knock us off track, or we may wake up on the wrong side of the bed (morning after morning) and just be feeling, well, in a word, sh***y.
When that happens, we all need to take some time and allow the feelings of sadness and hopefully, self compassion, to embrace us. Maybe even ask someone for a HUG and perhaps a shoulder to cry on. If you are a woman like me, I can tell you I process by talking, so find someone to talk to who will really listen to you.
This is the essence of self care.
When you have done all these things, then it is time to reach down, grab your own bootstraps and PULL YOUR SELF UP!
This part is strictly your job and I am here to tell you, no one else is going to do this for you. Not your friends, not your partner, not Oprah or even Jullian Michaels can do this.
This is up to you. So whatever you are going through, take care of yourself and start tackling the problem.
AND GET SOME EXERCISE (walk around the block and if you can’t do that, then just breathe deeply)
